Terms and Conditions

  • To place an order you have to register
  • Clients need to be 18 years and older to register an account.
  • Once you place your order online, you will receive confirmation by email
  • All orders to be placed before 12h00, for receiving your order for the next day
  • Any orders received after 12h00 and require delivery for the following day will not be accepted unless prior arrangement with management has been made
  • Unless you have an account with Open Food, your credit card will be debited immediately
  • A standard delivery fee of R80.00 will be included, subject to area
  • All platters are delivered cold and certain platters require that you heat them for best results
  • All ready-made meals ordered from our catering team are delivered cold. Simply reheat as required. Heating instructions will be supplied
  • Please note that some of our goods (alcoholic beverages) may be suitable for certain age ranges only. You should check that the product you are ordering is suitable for the intended recipient.
  • All items are supplied in disposable containers and food trays
  • Half platters will be charged at 65% of full price
  • Not all orders will be accepted. The following orders will not be processed should the following arise:
    • We don’t have products in stock
    • If your payment has not been authorized
    • If there is a pricing and or detail error on our website pertaining to our products
    • If you have cancelled your order.
  • Delivery times are approximate only. Platters may be delivered earlier than requested depending on delivery schedules
  • All items are subject to availability and may be substituted with a suitable equivalent
  • Cancellation of orders less than 12 hours prior to delivery will result in full payment of the order to be made.
  • All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT.
  • Payment options accepted: Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express credit cards or by EFT into the Foodworx Catering Investment (Pty) Ltd bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.
  • Credit card acquiring and security: Credit card transactions will be acquired for Foodworx Catering Investment (Pty) Ltd via Payfast (Pty) Ltd our approved payment gateway.
  • Payfast uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to payfast.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy
  • Customer details separate from card details: Customer details will be stored by Foodworx Catering Investments (Pty) Ltd separately from card details which are entered by the client on Payfast secure site. For more detail on Payfast refer to www.payfast.co.za
  • Responsibility: Foodworx Catering Investment (Pty) Ltd takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods
  • Country of domicile: This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Foodworx Catering Investments (Pty) Ltd chooses as its domiciliumcitandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature
  • Variation: Foodworx Catering Investments (Pty) Ltd may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
  • Company information: This website is run by Foodworx Catering Investments (Pty) Ltd based in South Africa trading as Foodworx Catering.


Refund Policy

  • Pre-paid orders cancelled 24 hours prior to delivery will be refunded in full.
  • Refunds will be made via EFT to the client within 5 working days of receiving the cancellation request.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations received on the day of scheduled delivery nor will refunds be issued for cancellations received less than 24 hours before delivery is scheduled.
  • No refunds will be issued for goods received and signed for.
  • If goods received by the client are not satisfactory according to the client, these can be returned to Foodworx with Foodworx’s driver and, upon inspection by Foodworx and upon Foodworx concurring that the goods are indeed not satisfactory, a full refund will be issued to the client within 5 working days.
  • If, however, Foodworx deems the goods to be in a satisfactory condition, the goods will either be returned to the client at the client’s expense, alternatively the goods will be disposed of if the client no longer wishes to take delivery of the goods. No refund will be issued to the client in this regard.
